Rachel Simpson

Rachel Simpson spent the early part of her career in nonprofit business administration with a wide variety of titles including Director of Development and VP of Fiscal Operations. Her first nonprofit job was with her dad, Jim Pierson, who was the Executive Director of what is now Ability Ministry.

“I couldn’t have had a better career kick off than this. My dad was such an incredible force. It was great learning all I could from him. He gave me the drive to want to help other people.”

In early 2020, she shifted her sights and stepped back from the nonprofit world to begin a firm to help medium-size companies do more in their own communities to align their values with their actions. This includes finding nonprofit opportunities for the business to become involved, such as volunteering, professional development, sponsorships, and more.

Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Rachel now lives in the greater Chicago area with her paleontologist husband and two cats. She has 2 grown sons and grandkids. Her favorite thing to do is hanging out with family and friends.

“Heather has the biggest heart and I’m so proud to be a Mom Bomb volunteer!”
